Formely known as Drosera x beleziana , Drosera eloisiana is a natural hybrid between Drosera rotundifolia and Drosera intermedia. It has elongated leaves covered in glistening, red-tinted glandular hairs that secrete a sticky mucilage to trap and digest insects. Adapted to nutrient-poor environments, it thrives in boggy, acidic soils with high humidity and ample sunlight.
Drosera × eleiosiana exhibits a growth habit that blends characteristics of both parent species, with semi-erect to prostrate leaves that form a compact rosette. In colder climates, the plant can enter dormancy, forming winter hibernacula to survive harsh conditions.
It is well-suited for cultivation in terrariums, outdoor bog gardens, or pots with proper moisture and light conditions.
