Cephalotus follicularis, commonly known as the Australian pitcher plant or Albany pitcher plant, is a fascinating carnivorous plant native to a limited region in Western Australia. The pitchers are adorned with fine hairs and a sticky secretion, which lures unsuspecting prey, such as ants and other small insects, into their demise.
It prefers a cool climate with high humidity and thrives in well-draining, nutrient-poor soils. It is a relatively slow-growing plant making it a prized and sought-after species among collectors and enthusiasts of carnivorous plants.
